Chapterly Terms of Use

Last updated: August 8, 2026

These Terms of Use (an end-user license agreement) govern your use of the Chapterly app. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Chapterly.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse

Chapterly has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post, share, or send content that is harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, illegal, or that targets or demeans any person or group. You may not impersonate others, spam, or use Chapterly to bully or intimidate anyone, inside or outside your chapter.

Violating these rules can result in content removal, immediate loss of access to your chapter, or a permanent ban, at the moderators' and Chapterly's discretion.

Your account

Your content

You own what you post. By posting, you give Chapterly the limited license needed to store and display it to the approved members of your own chapter. You can delete your own messages and posts, and you can delete your account (and its personal data) at any time from Settings → Delete My Account.

Chapters and moderation

Each chapter is run by its own owner and admins, who control membership, roles, and permissions and are responsible for reviewing reports inside their chapter. Chapterly may also remove content or suspend accounts anywhere in the app to enforce these terms.

Acceptable use

Disclaimers

Chapterly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chapterly and its creator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.

Changes

If these terms change, the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use of Chapterly after an update means you accept the revised terms.

See also the Chapterly Privacy Policy for what data is collected and how it's used.
